This may sound easy, but unfortunately insulin can only be given by injection with a needle under the skin. And it has to be given every day, usually twice a day, at about the same time each day so a regular routine is essential. The good news is that the needles are very very small, and so is the volume that needs to be injected. We found out that...I wish I had found this earlier. We found out that Spooky was diabetic a week before Thanksgiving. He was only three years old. I was giving him Humulin N.
